The recommendation for future travelers is that they prepare to live the experience of their lives. enjoy and eat a good cheesecake This year my wife and I visited Mustang. We started from Pokhara, made a short trek via Tatopani and Ghorepani and then went by jeep to Muktinath and afterwards to Lo Manthang. It was fantastic experience. We've been to Nepal 3 times before and managed to see a lot in this magnificent country but Mustang was something very different and absolutely special for us. We enjoyed this trip. Come and visit Mustang. It could be your last chance to see it how it looks now. The good road is going to be constructed there soon, China is trying to get there too and very soon Mustang will change its charming appearance and specific atmosphere that still exists there today. Mustang as it looks now will disappear soon. Hurry up. Go there. Aiming Adventure made their fantastic job during this difficult COVID period. We had postponed our tour 2 times and they (Aiming Adventures) were patiently waiting for us to come and did perfect tour for us. Everything has been done in accordance with our detailed schedule. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Bikal Duwadi, the chief of Aiming Adventures and special thanks to our guide Sujan, who did fantastic work organizing our tour and fighting with circumstances on the way. His perfect English and deep knowledge made the days in Mustang unforgettable for us. Traversing through the landscape of marvelous natural beauty where you can get acquainted with unprecedented ecstasy might be a dream for most of you. Aiming Adventure is here to transform your fantasy into actuality and bring it right before your eyes. We take you to the far-flung region where the century’s long history is still preserved and you will explore the secrets hidden beneath. If you are seeking to experience the wildest and bizarre, yet most thrilling journey around one of the remote areas in Nepal, this 16 days Upper Mustang Trek perfectly matches your need. Mustang is a secluded district in far northern Nepal and has its border to Tibet. In the ancient times, the place was a point for trade between Nepal and Tibet. Mostly it was famous as a salt trading route to Tibet. Mustang was once an autonomous kingdom of Lo with its own king as a ruler. After being annexed by Nepal, it continued to function as a kingdom and local king reigned here. It was also popularly known as “The Forbidden Kingdom” as it was so secluded and remote and also visitors were not allowed there until 1991. As the place remained disconnected and untouched from outside world, it remained the least developed region. The prohibition of outsiders led to the preservation of ancient arts and artifacts in their original state. The place is still rich with century-old monuments and palaces. Around the caves and monasteries where the historical and religious architecture is still preserved. The huge wall built around the village in the ancient time as a protection is very interesting to watch. The people from Mongolian tribe reside here, with mostly Tibetans and people here follow Tibetan Buddhism. There are also few Thakalis and Gurungs. Upper Mustang lies in the rain shadow region of Mount Annapurna and Mount Dhaulagiri, and this is the driest place. It is also often called “Desert Land”. There are dry and rocky areas with close to no vegetation. The huge Kali Gandaki river flows through Mustang and the deepest gorge, Kali Gandaki gorge lies here. Even though the landscape here is dry and barren, it gives the beautiful picture of the Rocky Mountains and cliffs with snowcapped mountains in the background. Mustang has a wide variety of interesting things to observe and look around. From the richness of historical artifacts to the exceptional natural beauty, Upper Mustang can be an ideal place to spend your vacation if you love thrill, excitement, and adventure. Aiming Adventure offers hassle-free 16 days teahouse/lodge Upper Mustang trekking package to help you experience this off-the-beaten trail. We guarantee departure on all customized packages and a special discount if you have a group. Moreover, we also offer other remote trekking options like the Tsum Valley Trek, Trip Highlights We acknowledge that you are joining us for the adventure trip in Himalayan region of Nepal, where weather conditions, health, and fitness of the member or unexpected natural disaster can compel us to change the itinerary and if so you have to understand it but we would try our best to keep the suggested itinerary as per the original schedule. Aiming Adventure suggests you get a travel insurance that covers all the added expenses that might result due to various health issues, injuries or accidents (together with the air ambulance, helicopter rescue, and other treatment costs). Also, make sure that your insurance policy covers all the extra activities that you are planning to accomplish throughout your stay in Nepal. In addition to this, the policy should also cover death, misplaced luggage, theft and liability, cancellations, medical treatment (counting hospital charges, cost of the medicine, doctor’s fees) as well as repatriation cost. Most of the days while trekking in Nepal takes you above an altitude of 3000m, it is kindly requested to ensure that your insurance policy covers treks that go over 4000m. Buying insurance is highly recommended. Trekking in Nepal is physically tougher in some of the regions. However, no previous trekking experienced is required but if you have, it is a great plus point. Trekking in Nepal is a non-technical walk. The highest height you would reach on your trip is 3,810m from sea level. The walk involves lots of ups and downhill takes you through local villages, farming lands, terraces, and riverside but as long as you have a strength of walking for 4 to 6 hours a day, you are qualified for the trek. However, you should be having moderate health and fitness. We strongly suggest travelers consult with your medical doctor before traveling and do the regular checkup of your health and report us while booking a trip with us. A part of the health and fitness, the participant must be having a positive attitude and strong determination for the successful trip. AMS (acute mountain sickness) is a serious issue. It is the result of the failure of the body to adapt to high altitudes and can affect anyone, regardless of age or fitness. It usually occurs above 2,500m and the likelihood of being affected increases as you ascend. The way to reduce the effects of altitude is to ascend slowly, 300 meters per day above 3,000 meters until you have acclimatized. Poor acclimatization results in a headache, nausea, sleeplessness, difficulty breathing and swelling of fingers and glands. The only cure for AMS is to descend to a lower altitude and your guide’s decision on this matter is final. Although our routes are carefully planned to allow for proper acclimatization you may feel some effects of altitude for the first few days or at higher altitudes. Breathlessness, lethargy and mild headaches are not uncommon and generally decrease as your body adjusts. Maintaining adequate fluid intake is essential. Please advise your guide if you feel more severe symptoms and do not medicate yourself without discussing it with them first.
